       @KayFaraday Fascists also make amusing mental gymnastics to refer to abuse as otherwise by saying it's eugenics and necessary for the improvement of man-kind because muh homogenous society (which doesn't exist nor has ever really existed and any and everyone who claims so has no concept on how cultures have developed) and also because, as contemporarily done to both us and children, those they abuse are referred as a sub-class and therefore attempting to rationalise all acts done "for" and against them.  For example, the same logic goes through the minds of those that insists that Africa was actually helped by colonialism.This is important to understand because these sort of one-dimensional Euro-centric views continues to affect Western society, including views on "pro-contacts" and what they advocate for on the large scale of things.

       @halos 1) I oppose all child/adult relationships that have an air of exclusivity. Whether this be parents going "you should tell me everything!", randos "I'm your only friend", or anything else.2) Why do you assume this isn't something I consciously imply? The reason why I oppose casual child/adult sex is different from why I oppose child/adult INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS. I believe that, statistically, the majority of people engaging in casual sex exhibit a careless attitude towards their partners. And this would not be healthy as a first/beginning relationship for a child.

       @halos 1) whether you think they should be like this or no, this is human psychology. People rarely not try to fully invest emotionally in their first several relationships.2) I am not in favor of prison in general. What I see as a better alternative is rehabilitation.

       @halos @Citrine @Zest I didn't create this concept. It's my rough attempt to render in English what I learned during age psychology courses I took as a trainee teacher. Children tend to fixate on people and experiences, because everything that happens to them, up to a certain point, is novel. So it's important to make sure they have a wide choice of people of equal importance in their life and don't get stuck comparing themselves to the same person over and over again. Girls tend to do it with their mothers when they're young, and this is the cause of their first body insecurity problems, if their mother is using make up and maintaining a style. It doesn't mean the mother is stupid or abusive, it's just a natural outcome of her being the most important woman in her daughter's life.
