       @Ari @operaghost that was just another illustration of the basic mistake women keep on making: investing effort for men in the belief that they will reciprocate. We however have to see that that will never happen.

       @Raunchel @operaghost Yes, but since it's the past and we cannot change it, I don't want to frame their choice as a mere mistake. I feel like sending out some energy of respect and appreciation to those women for their effort.Still we should definitely not forget, and learn from what happened.

       @Ari @Raunchel @operaghost Been around the movement since 1970. This has been my experience as well.  Insofar as gay men are interested in women at all, it's divas and glamour queens, not lesbians in sensible shoes*. This is why so many gay pride marches separated out into the Dyke March, and also the trans march which sadly, so many of my lesbian friends support. The reason for this is simple, whether men are willing to admit it or not: if they don't want to fuck you, then they have no use for you.*affectionate humour, no need to get triggered :)

       @Raunchel @Ari @operaghost This pattern of women " investing effort for men in the belief that they will reciprocate" reminds me in a way of what those who some call "liberal feminists" have been doing for the TIMs /MPW [men presenting themselves as women]. Society teaches us that men are the humans, the real subjects, and women are the objects and the supporters. The "liberal feminists" have come to the rescue of the MPW in tbeir supposed kindness,  but it's really an investment into raising their own stature - wow, MEN are joining us, they want to be one of us. These womwn are hoping for reciprocity in their regard. They think it's just the "terfs" that these men have contempt and hatred for. Not all "cis" ie "inferior" women. Not a perfect analogy of course to lesbians helping gay men who had aids, but similar in that women saw men as rhe ones who matter so much and men saw the women as objects whose natural role is to simply support them.
