this video explains why pinephone still has a long way to go before it can be used by the average guy:1. camera2. changing the pin3. the touch screen, or at least the pop-up windows like the one at ~5:504. the fact that you have to use the terminal for *anything*probably a lot more that wasnt in this video or I failed to notice

@lc While you certainly have a point, problems 2.-4. don't exist on Manjaro Plasma Mobile for example. So don't mistake the results on one small community effort distribution for the actual current state of the PinePhone.

@linmob @lc I have noticed on Manjaro Plasma mobile that my search widget and any 4th shortcut placed in the homescreen dock both disappear after a reboot.

@ohellno @lc I never said that I believe in mobile Linux gaining substantial market share. I am just happy that the option exists again and improves, that's enough.

@linmob @lcAgreed, it was so awesome last night when i discovered that i could switch the display scale to 100% and double what i could fit on screen. Then after hooking up my keyboard it was so awesome to be able to do some things through the terminal.I am extremely happy with the performance of mobian. It has greatly exceeded my expectations. Ive had it just over 24 hours and the only thing that I am seriously missing is swipe texting.I did see a project for sailfishOS called OKboard so i know itll be possible to port. Thinking about starting a fundraiser and putting up spme cash for anyone with the knowhow to get it ported to debian.I have been waiting for real linux in my pocket forever. Now I finally have it.
