       Have you read the old testament? I have made attempts throughout the years but I was never able to go farther than the first 20 pages or so.

       Isn’t the old testament where all the fun stuff happens? Where God was just punishing everyone, demanding human sacrifices and flooding earth etc? My parents are both atheists and never even told me about religion, any religion, so I tried to figure out christianity from Christmas songs and that is the story of how I thought Jesus and Santa were brothers when I was a kid. @Justwanttobreathe

       Yeah it’s pretty fucked up teaching that stuff to kids. I’m glad I was ignorant and thought Santa was the fun brother who gives you presents because people are sad that Jesus died  @Help-me-hoagie-man @Justwanttobreathe

       @Justwanttobreathe I've never read the whole bible cover to cover, but between Sunday school and church I'd say I've read or at least been told the most interesting bits... from a mythical storytelling perspective, anyway. Though I did open it up once to a random page that was just some dude ranting about how much his wife pissed him off. Ya never know what you'll get in the new testament. XD
