@EpicKitty @stux If I modify one byte in the copy, is it still a copy of said copyrighted material? If I encrypt the data, is it still a copy of the original data? The problem with piracy laws is that you're incriminating people literally for doing math.

@EpicKitty @stux Could it still be theft if the seller of the product isn't getting paid for the product he's selling?

@stux In the U.S. copyright originally lasted a maximum of 28 years, now it lasts 95! That's the real crime.

@enigmatico @EpicKitty @stux The real problem with piracy is that you get the supperior product. You buy a game, you cannot play it offline, censorship patch is downloaded 1 week later and game is not working at all in 2 years when company decides to kill servers. When you buy movies on DVD, you get 20 minutes of unskipable ads.You download a movie/game and thst's whot you get and can keep.

@calculsoberic @stux I have torrented in a public airport WiFi and every damn time it just limits/blocks my download speed π I hate the annoying DMCA so much. Before covid-19 I have been torrenting non stop for 2 years but now during the pandemic the stupid surveillance crap now restricted me internet speed for a full month until the next payment. Its so dumb its hard to believe π€£#piracy #piracyissharingiscaring #fuckisp

@calculsoberic @stux Its pretty handy. The amounts of tools and lightweight has/is makes the whole Gnome :gnome: experience a joke (no offence Gnome or gnome usersπ
) I have used Gnome and I fell in love with it for 5yrs until I switched over to KDE :kdenew: it was a game changer it's like a world full of infinite possibilities. And KDE devs made lots of really cool updates and changes to the DE. I would recommend it that you would visit it again π

@0PT41N @calculsoberic @stux the simplicity is what I love about Gnome. The amount of function on KDE is just awesome. Both have a place in my heart, currently use Gnome because why not.

@calculsoberic @stux Sorry for the late reply I was doing some shopping today π. Also no I have not. I just installed the zeronet software to my phone and I really like the idea. An internet that is completely decentralized and doesn't touch the old internet at all. Plus its open sourced :opensource: and is privacy friendly. π
