I think I *might* have found lucky mix for my debilitating anxiety. I got magnesium spray that I massage in my neck for tension when needed, valerian root caps before bed time( and one during most days)and 2mg of melatonin in oral spray right before bed time. I try to wear ear plugs during day to minimise stress from noise my toddler makes too sometimes and I think I should go back to wearing them when sleeping too. It seems to be helping, I did wake up at around 4 in the morning today but at least I fell asleep around 11. I wish I got a weighted blanket because my toddlers restlessess not only drives me insane half sedated when falling asleep but I have a feeling also wakes me up during night sometimes without me realising. Plus it sounds like something I would like. I should have listen to my gut feeling and invest in it, now it's already getting too warm to get one...maybe. I don't know. I also try to take vitamin D3, B vitamins and iron every other day and I think it helps too. I'm quite sure SAD light helps but I never manage to do it consecutively for full effect. I feel at least fit enough to think now and to start considering stretching and then some exercise. It's a sad fact that probably more than half of mums and homemakers have to use some sort of sedative.

@Monchalant You can try l-theanine if those interventions don’t work completely for you. It sounds like you have a comprehensive plan. 3-3 breathing helps too: count to three as you slowly breathe in, and count to three as you exhale. As an aside, my doctor thought I was seasonally emo once, and recommended a SAD light…he suggested I use it every morning for thirty minutes with my shirt off. 😝

@Hollahollara I think I even tried l-theanine 2-3 years ago but I got it for free for Amazon reviewing so maybe it wasn't"it". Isn't it the stuff gym folk and body builders use? My older brother was into bodybuilding supplements and killed it for me saying there's no proof it"works works", I haven't revisited since but I might take a look since I see people mention it!Breathing technique is something I'll write down and stick somewhere(or everywhere). Who would think you need a reminder to breathe lol I only hope I don't fall out of these habits and then do the research as if I never done it before(similarly to l-theanine...but actually I think it was l-carnitine I was taking)Shirtless?? I thought"it goes through"eyes? I have to check that too

@Monchalant I have to be reminded that the breathing thing works.Attached is a photo of what I take. It is made from green tea, nothing too exciting. Not sure how it would help weightlifters! It is for mental and physical relaxation and/or liver health.I always heard the light was absorbed through the eyes too, so the shirtless advice was comical to me.

@Hollahollara yeah I think it was definitely carnitine thing I had just mixed it up because of L lol I'll pick one up in pharmacy to see how it works, maybe it turns out better than Valerian for during day?I was just imagining people passing by my window seeing me shirtless staring in bright light 😂

@Monchalant Yeah, that’s not the one. Wonder if l-carnitine makes you edgy? That’s the exact opposite of what you need!Valerian is pretty heavy for daytime use.
