I don't want to be part of this anymore. I want to be free, why can't it be how it used to be. Why can't we be free. This is not about privacy, privacy is just the entiry-level drug to all of this. The entire rabbit hole is still unfolding and it's scaring the shit out of me.

@metalune don’t forget to take breaks from tech/privacy stuff and have some fun. There will always be more negative stuff we will have to fight against. We work hard against it, and then take a break and recharge, because there’s always tomorrow.

@dorian I mean.. what do you call a break in this situation? There is no 'break' from social media or phones or anything like that because it's everywhere, i want to meet new people.. or rather, old people I used to hang out with, the problem is, how do I contact them. Of course i could walk over to their house every god damn day but I don't want to be annoying

@metalune ah, I meant a break as in some time not worrying about privacy. It sounded like you got a lot of really rewarding connection from your elementary school friend, that’s awesome! Social connection is one of our needs, and unfortunately in this world we have to give up privacy to get that sometimes. Its not all or nothing. we can work hard for privacy and then still use non privacy respecting services sometimes because they give us access to something important.

@dorian I've come to care less and less about privacy and more and more about not being influenced by massive markets and malicious intendors. and for once I don't only care about myself in this but I also want to help the others, or at least introduce them to the concept that they might be in this entire loophole. But I don't know how to bring it to the masses, and I don't want to weird out my school friend on the same day that we met since looong

@metalune @dorian I know there are many people who gives a shit about privacy but there also many people who does care but they don't have the technical knowledge to protect themselves. I think we should aim those people, for example the idea from @admin is awesome. He just created "origami" and left then on buses and there are people who came here because of that. Maybe we cannot target the masses but we can do our little achievements.
