@ThomasWic I've watched a lot of documentaries on Investigation ID, and of course, I loved LivePD. The one thing that every one of them said is that domestic violence calls are the scariest ones because it can turn deadly in an instant.But yeah, let's social workers to these calls. Great idea!

@ThomasWic What looks on the surface like "soft on crime" is actually the genesis of the polar opposite. Refuse to enforce laws and protect the public, eliminate cash bail, refuse to prosecute established crimes, free criminals under color of Covid, lay out red carpets for the most savage worst of the murderous worst. That's neither tolerance nor compassion, as ALL of it, ultimately and predictably, gives rise to TOTALITARIAN SOLUTIONS.

@ThomasWic Wow! Just goes to show ya how *fast* it can nosedive into a life or death situation.The bodycam footage is hard to watch but I can't imagine the mayhem and bloodbath if it were a couple of blue- & purple-haired social workers there instead of seasoned LEOs.😬

@StevenDouglas @ThomasWic I agree completely. And that’s no place for a social worker. On the subject but taking a minor turn, I’m so angry that children in DV families aren’t protected like they should be after the victim gets out of the situation. In 65 percent of violence towards partner situations, a child is abused by the perp. Pathological perps. I apologize, I can’t resist mentioning. I’m going through a personal matter related but I’m never giving up on what I need to do as a Mother.

@ThomasWic I hope they like pit bulls - at one 911 my son was called to they were greeted by a pit bull after entering the premises- all preceded to jump up on kitchen counters to safety. Tazing didn’t affect the pooch. One cop shot it 2 times - kept coming had to shoot the poor dog again.

@ThomasWic having served my Hell on earth years in NYPD as a detective, I will affirm that these situations turn to crap quicker than the human mind can react. The simplest call for help can wind up in a gun battle. Thankfully the 2 cops will be ok. One struck in bullet proof vest the other grazed ankle.
