@darulharb i lived in Florida for 3 and a half years in the late 80s as a teen. At the time I hated it. These days I wish I could move there.

@timr i went to a library today to print something out. during the pandemic they were curbside pickup of books only, nobody allowed inside. I went in today, librarian was masked, but did not ask me to, even after I sneezed. Their hours are still greatly reduced, though, due to understaffing

Conjuring up images of the noble idealized statesman President, with silver hair at the temples and surgically precise one liners. And again, I'd vote for that, with the right policies behind it. But has to get *elected* first. Coolidge did it in a much different political climate.

In a perfect world, I would have 2nd term Trump, then 2 terms Pompeo, then 2 terms DeSantis. But in reality? if Trump doesn't run again, it's DeSantis. If he does, then DeSantis is next.
