       Someone I know just got a Macbook Pro.This person has an external FAT32/drive that was used as backup on his/her Windows laptop. Now, this person wants to transfer all files from external HD to Mac, but not all files are copying over.And I thought MacOS is user friendly? Haha. Must be a permission issue. Still fucked up that Windows/Mac have these weird incompatible permission issues

       @fatboy FAT32 doesn't have file permissions though.

       @fatboy @nicd they need ntfs-3g to write on the disk but many people would rather buy an app instead.

       @fatboy When I Mac (7 years ago) I used Google Fuse to mount NTFS. A friend of mine uses Mounty for NTFS. https://mounty.app/

       @fatboy When I had a Mac (7 years ago) I used Google Fuse to mount NTFS but I’m not sure if it is around anymore. A friend of mine uses Mounty for NTFS. https://mounty.app/
