I may not be able to root my phone, but I was able to disable and/or uninstall all Google apps and disable Google Play Services, so I think that's pretty good in the meantime. Every app on my phone is from Fdroid!

@tskaalgard Any errors after disabling Play Services? Wondering if any apps rely on that and not function properly. Will try this as well.

@tapani Since all of my apps are from Fdroid, the only error I've had is that Protonmail mo longer shows me push notifications. However, if you use a lot of apps that rely on Google Play Services, you will have errors if you disable it.

@tskaalgard Yeah I think @Tutanota also uses Googles push services for notifications? That's the downside.

@tapani @Tutanota Yes, honestly, it's ridiculous that it even uses Play Services at all.

@tskaalgard @Tutanota I'm actually not sure if Tuta fixed that recently. Would love to know!
