even when ID'd as bisexual i really didnt appreciate the other bisexuals stepping in homosexual spaces and speaking about certain issues, especially when they mostly dated the opposite sex??? i still keep my mouth shut about certain things bc ive only dated 1 female long term and had only a handful of lesbo interactions

@Saiten it isnt wrong for me to say it's silly for people to speak on issues they dont fully understand. they are not homosexual. they are not straight. they are bisexual. a homosexual shouldnt speak on bisexual issues either, they do not understand fully what it means to be "inbetween." i remember bisexuals not feeling like they fit in a place. they do. in that bisexual little cornerthat's as silly as me speaking on the trans experience. i may have dysphoria but i am living as a trans man. i chose not to transitiona bisexual has an understand of homosexuality, theyre still not living life as a homosexual

@bulaklak How do you not see how problematic that kind of thinking can be? You shouldn't be able to control how anyone thinks about anything, end of story. You especially should not be able to control those peoples right to speak about it, we should all actively seek out opinions that are different from our own and learn from them.

@Saiten i think now we're just getting technical and my apologies for not being clear about it, because truthfully i dont engage in these discussions often and i suck at debateI'm not advocating for them never to speak out or actually control their thinking. That would be actually insane.I'm pointing out that they don't fully understand and will never fully understand a different person's way of life, just like how I won't understand theirs. They can speak whatever they want, but their background will affect the validity of their opinion

@bulaklak I understand, I may be splitting hairs here at this point but I still feel like that kind of value should not be assigned based off of sweeping generalizations like you have made, were all unique. You cant just invalidate people like that, its a form of discrimination.

@Kagekokoro @bulaklak Fortunately, due to the very nature of the platform we all coexist on. I am able to experience a different point of view everyday at my own leisure, and seeking out others opinions is only a few key strokes away.
