If you are a bajillionaire and you lose your private keys, the best thing to do is head straight to Alcor and have yourself cryogenically frozen. Ask them to thaw you out in 500 years, or when 10000 qubit quantum computing is invented. Then you can recover your keys and live like a king!

@eiaine You could also buy $100 worth of BTC, have yourself cryogenically frozen for 5 years, and then live like a king/queen.

@eiaine It's an encrypted flash drive; for ffs. For much less than $200M I'm sure he can get some hardware hackers to copy it and/or extract the private key. I believe most Bitcoin hw wallets have been shown to be vulnerable to physical attack - I'm sure some rando hard drive even more so.

@eiaine he didn’t lose his keys. Just the password. That’s what it said.

@eiaine @hanakookie Dammit - you made me skim that dumb article hoping to find some cryo angle mentioned.

@eiaine @hanakookie the other problem is that you have to get thawed before someone else brute-forces the key.
