What do you celebrate this time of year?I only have 4 options, so I had to lump almost all holidays in one option. Feel free to reply with more specifics.

@urusan Winter Solstice comes the closest, I'm a life-long atheist, so I'm basically just celebrating family, generousness and the fact that we're heading towards lighter times again, the winter in Norway is long and dark. And this year I hope we're heading for lighter times in more ways than one :)

@paladin That's an interesting remix.I celebrate Christmas and New Years (though separately), and am also non-religious.Since I'm also fairly anti-consumerism and don't drink, there's not really much left to these holidays, and my celebration is quite laid back, but they are a nice tradition nonetheless.

@urusan When I say combo... It is kind of family-friends time that spans one week from Xmas to NY of visiting, return visits, and a lot of food and some good wine. This year only visits are with close family and meeting friends in open spaces.

@urusan I don't celebrate, decorate nor exchange gifts. I just make a nice meal and call home. You've got to eat something special every now and then; the date is a perfect excuse.

@urusan I celebrate some days off from work where people aren't filling up my queue while I'm not there to complain. Unless I'm on call, when I have to work a 24 hour shift instead.

@tulpa Yikes, a 24 hour shift? That seems excessive.

@urusan If I'm on call when everyone is off, then I will be called all day and all night for urgent breakage. Because the environment is so huge and bad that something is always on fire.
