#Peertube still doesn't allow following from within the platform. Federation is not working from Peertube to Peertube, and following from Mastodon just leaves a follow request that might never be answered. The only way to follow Peertube accounts from different servers is RSS.

@art or wait for great people like you to cross-post the interesting bits to Mastodon or Plerama :)

@art •{ BLM }• 😷 I'm following other channels (including yours) from my peertube. I've also successfully followed peertube channels from Hubzilla. Iow, seems to work fine here :)

@art there is a way of doing it but it's messy and I think it needs to be manually enabled by the admin for standard users. Paste the full URL of a video by a user you want to follow into the search bar on your own instance. The video should then show up on your instance. Click the subscribe button. I don't think it will happen instantly, but eventually all their videos will show up in your subscriptions.

@art Your instance has "Users can resolve distant content" enabled. So yes, you can follow channels from other instances, that is not being federated with your instance.

@art I've been able to successfully subscribe to other users I thought. I'll try again later. Remind me if I don't get back to you.

@art Actually both can be done, but it's not super intuitive from PT to PT (you have to search for the channel from within your instance), and not every post comes across your "timeline" (bug, probably?). From MS to PT is super easy, although again I don't know if it works fine in all cases.I too use RSS instead.
