@Gina Well look at the bright side. About ~3 people can watch your stream simultaneously :DIs OwnCast not installable on a VPS? Then you only need to stream once to the VPS and have the VPS handle all the viewers.

@ChrisWere It's unfortunate Restream.io doesn't support PeerTube out of the box. It's not really worth the price of $20. Maybe they might add support for PeerTube in the future?

@art Your instance has "Users can resolve distant content" enabled. So yes, you can follow channels from other instances, that is not being federated with your instance.

@Gina Afaik they forked Mastodon or something like that, but even so, why would that impact Mastodon in a negative light? It's software, like the Tor Browser or any browser for that matter. If Trump was using Internet Explorer, it wouldn't matter because that browser has hit rock bottom a long time ago. It can't get any worse XD

@hyde Not that I am aware of. I do know that Debian donated a big chunk of money for it's development. So at some point we will probably see Debian use the feature.The live streaming can use it's peers to distribute the content, but you will see a minimum of 30 seconds of delay on your stream.

@JoshStrobl @amolith I told you to read the about page :POn peertube.be it says: "Upload limited to 1GB due to abuse. Contact me to get an increased amount of space."Also, most PeerTube admins are open to extending the quota. Usually the quota is set to prevent abuse.
