       I read a lot of hate articles about the #gemini protocol.I don't understand this hate. What's wrong with defining a new protocol? It seems to be a fun exercise.Maybe gemini is going nowhere and will be forgotten next year, but if you don't care about this, don't discriminate the work done.A criticism I often read is gemini shouldn't exist, that we should work on  lighter web browsers and lighter blogs. We could, but couldn't people write a new protocol?Should we add MORE specs to http??

       @solene I've never seen such articles. A few references?I think that the main risk for #Gemini is indifference, not hate.

       @solene that’s weird, my client was featured on OSNews once and the comments were quite nasty. I feel people approach gemini as some new web whereas it’s more a modern gopher for me, hence the misunderstanding and the hate
