We already did the Anti-Capitalist Software License to death, but now there is "The People's Revolutionary License" <https://leftcopy.org/tprl-1.0/>.Not only do I have no faith in "the people" after studying the ACSL (see "Source materials" in Software and Anarchy), but they make the mistake that, because apparently larger businesses are "more exploitative", small businesses are apparently a-okay. Ouch.

@nodefunallowed to be fair, I'd say there's a significant structural and behavioural difference between a small, privately held company, and a large publicly listed multinational corporation. The latter, in my opinion, cannot do good. The former simply tend not to. More on the distinction: https://davelane.nz/megacrops

@lightweight@nodefunallowedA small company isn't good either, unless it's democratic and owned by employees. Both large and small businesses can "do good" in some regards. The real question is how their employees are treated, and whether they get any say.

@deborahcliff @nodefunallowed yes, of course. My point is that unlike a listed public corporation, a privately held company (could be co-operatively owned) is not beholden to the single incentive: "maximise shareholder value" of the public corporation. I know private companies whose employees are generally very well treated, and whose owners explicitly forsake profit maximisation to "do the right thing". Even with regard to #FOSS.
