So I'm listening to Thursday's show where Adam says Trump has been flying in a 757 to save campaign money. Does anyone know if Obama or any other presidents showed a similar respect for expenses?

@GreenZeta I don't think Obama spent that much time in the air campaigning in 2012 so it did not matter. Also, it was strange to see Trump flying into Harrisburg for the Middletown, PA Rally in the 757 plane when they use that airport for touch and go practice in the 747s a couple of times a year.

@cgarison @GreenZeta It isn’t a respect for expenses, they actually charge the campaign. Presidents get charged for everything done for them on the public dime. Jimmy Carter, the rare President who was not particularly rich, used to complain how much it cost to have the WH chef prepare food for his family.

@GreenZeta when I was working in Las Vegas, Bush jr landed in 757, and left in a 737 after his lunch meeting. They shut down the airport for about an hour and a half. I do not remember where he was heading that needed the smaller plane.
