       @kev @hund Interesting conversation about #RSS setups!I also used newsboat exclusively (CLI FTW!) in the past. But I missed being able to pick up my feeds on a different device without losing the information where I was. So I set up a TinyTinyRSS instance on my FreedomBox. tt-rss comes with an API and web interface, and newsboat has config options to hook it up.        @kopfkind @hund I used TT-RSS for years. It’s a great piece of software. I ended up ditching it and pulling my financial support for the project though because the lead dev is a cock.

       @kev It's exactly this question that's been on my mind lately (very interesting choice of words btw, "beholden to"). Is there a moral obligation to stop using a piece of software you enjoy, knowing the developer is not a nice person? Maybe I'm a bit to philosophical on this matter and this is not the right place for a meaningful conversation about it, but I'm also a bit grieved you replied to a positive post by @kopfkind with a negative personal opinion, which ofcourse you are free to do so.

I didn’t hijack a thread.There is no obligation, of course there isn’t. But if there’s a viable alternative out there, I’d rather not use that particular application.

       @kev @kopfkind Ok, fair enough. English is not my native language and I’m culturally biased to direct critical questions. I’m not aware of any previous thread, but what are you using instead of tt-rss? Or no aggregator at all anymore? Maybe just 1 main OPML file?
