@julianruf where it’s cold, people are meeting and eating inside, and homes are heated so the air is drier which makes us more susceptible. My suspicion in any case.

@kensanata That would have been my first suspicion as well, I’m just wondering whether this sufficiently explains the massive growth of new cases over the last days.

@julianruf @kensanata Recent studies suggest this.. Coldness makes the air dry and the virus can thus travel longer. In one study I saw they were talking about a 6 meter distancing. In warmer moister areas it fall quicker to the ground. The virus can also survive longer and our immune system is slower when it is cold.It has also now passed more than 6 months so people who were immune might no longer be so.
