Not sure if to go NixOS and constantly be annoyed by setting up the environment with nix-shell and having no idea how to have GCC and LLVM at once, while giving up on SELinuxor if I should give up on the "containerize everything" ideal and go Fedora Workstation

Nix with a chroot is *fine*, but nix-shell gets on my nerves and I can't do anything that requires root stuffand now I can't do VMs (GNOME Boxes is still broken ugh) or burn a Windows USB and I don't want to install virt-manager with layering so that's fun

@xerz but why exactly GNOME Boxes is broken? It works with images downloaded with the app but not with images selected from the disk. Seems like an issue with the file portal but I'm not sure.
