@xerz This distro is not good way to see wayland environments at work. Some DEs works worse than they can. What I remember Plasma doesn't scales automatically for HiDPI but it does on KDE Neon for example.

@overflowOk, he told about the world where users cannot run full nodes and use only SPV wallets. We have such blockchains now: EOS, Stellar, Solana. But with Moore's Law Visa can scale even better.Anyway, now there is Bitcoin Cash, and we can see that the tx scalability is not the only issue which prevents adoption. Satoshi did a lot of mistakes. But why he shouldn't he was the first on the new ground.

@Moon @pony @overflow Lightning Network is not popular because it is a solution for payments. And bitcoiners don't pay with bitcoin, they hodl. And they don't need LN for hodling neither to pay tx fees for hodling. The most of they transactions are off-chain twitter transactions with words "HODL" and "shitcoins".

@xerz but why exactly GNOME Boxes is broken? It works with images downloaded with the app but not with images selected from the disk. Seems like an issue with the file portal but I'm not sure.

@xerz if SELinux or AppArmor is disabled in a derivative linux distro or a manual is started with "disable SELinux/AppArmor first" I avoid such distros and manuals.

@xerz with proper careful use Silverblue and Workstation provide almost similar experience. Just use Workstation as if you were using Silverblue, e.g with Flatpak apps, Podman containers and toolboxes.

@Miaourt Consciousness is probably more tied to body than it feels like. It is limited by a local memory and resources. Even if all the people have shared consciousness each feels their own because their own memory and perception are accessible to the body and one cannot access memory and perception of another person. The same with copies. Two copies shares old memories but not from the point of the copying. Each will perceive oneself as original.

@xerz when you spend money on physical goods you are betraying the internet. Only computational, networking and data storage devices are allowed.

@leip4Ier the only feature of firewalld is zones and it was designed mostly for laptop use in mind: using different zones for home, work, public Wi-Fi, etc. But zones are very limited. It is impossible to drop outgoing packets for a zone, only globally with a --direct option. But even then firewalld rules have effect only for firewalld scope e.g. for applications installed on a machine, not in VMs and containers. But maybe from the 0.9.0 version it is now more flexible:https://firewalld.org/2020/09/policy-objects-filtering-container-and-vm-traffic
