       @mdrights It's a problematic use of the terms. The party considered communist in Kerala is dominated by caste. There's nothing in Marx about caste warfare it does seemt o miss the point. The party called socialist is run by one family and primogeniture. Western imports to India need to adapt to its peculiar institutions if they wish to survive and flourish @aseem

       @DesCoutinho @mdrights The current chief minister of the state comes from an erstwhile untouchable lower caste. And though, the Congress party has been controlled by a family in Delhi, the state politics and policy is largely left to the local leaders who happen to not cherish so much the neoliberal capitalism.

       @mdrights An important question. I don't know the answer but I will try to seek. I think communists and socialists everywhere must embrace and uphold FLOSS as it naturally aligns with the ideology.

       @aseem I'd prefer a keralite to respond. But I would suggest that there is dishonest disingenuous and taking the piss. The current President is Dalit. If you are trying to sell fake news to foreigners have it at it. Have you ever heard of a Keralite Tribal called Mayillama? Keralite politicians can just as easily be bribed by multinationals as any other kind. Please don't log on pretending to be another keralite but if you can get a gang to back you up I have nothing farther to add. @mdrights
