@selea I've got the FP3, not the plus. I'm happy with it. I'm thinking about upgrading the camera to the plus version at the moment, but I'm not sure about it. Here's a thread about it https://forum.fairphone.com/t/old-and-new-camera-photo-comparison/64727

@selea I have the 3 and it's a fairly solid phone. Camera is good in good light but deteriorates in low light, I've heard this is improved with the new camera modules in the 3+.Would recommend it. My brother has a 3 too and, importantly, it's surviving where all others have broken.

@frankstrater @selea It works if you give her reasons why you think it's a good idea based on your values. :)

@selea @hund No, I'm just trying to say that recommendation (by people or machines) only work when you have enough good data about a person or the product. This means you probably know your wife best and what she wants out of her phone. Or are you asking actual Fairphone users about their experience with the product? What I do hope is that you are not just virtue signaling about "getting a Fairphone" and that you don't actually have a question with "Thoughts?"

@selea @hund What I would recommend is basically the same as @hund (on my personal values), but with a caveat.yes, but be prepared to return it or keep it for yourself if she doesn't like it (ethical choice).or no, buy a second-hand replacement (environmental choice)

@frankstrater The question was not about "does my wife like the concept of the fairphone?" Obviously I know what she likes. It was more about the Fairphone itself - is it a good phone? How is the components? What do you think about the fairphone (assuming that you have it). Or a general conversation-starter.No need to pretend to over analyze a question or text. @hund

@selea @hund I agree, "Thoughts on the Fairphone?" would have been a better question. I guess I was too tired to ask you to be more specific in your question in my first reply. Sorry for that.I would like to know what you eventually decide and if she likes the Fairphone after a couple of weeks of normal use compared to the LG she had before. I hope you'll post something about this and I'll try to not reply.
