Really don't want to give WD money after how much they've been pulling on the HDD side though. Why do their SSDs of all things have to be the ones on a good deal

Seagate's 500GB SSDs are on sale too I guess.I've been hoping for higher quality SSDs like Samsung's to go on sale though but it's been a year and it doesn't seem like that'll happen any time soon

@wolf480pl The WD and Seagate ones one sale now are both cheaper than Adata's regular models. The higher-end models like WD Red SSDs or Samsung Evo (Pro) SSDs are the ones I've wanted to see go on sale for a full year now. But never seems to happen. At least not that I've caught wind of.Does Adata have high-end SSDs? Preferably MLC rather than TLC

@quad I dont know if ebay is an option for you but you can get nice lots of second hand intel DC sata ssd for reasonable prices.I got four 480Go SSD and one 250Go for something like 200 usd shipped to europe. All of them had less than 1k power on hours, so they were basically new.

@goldensuneur I took a look. But it seems sellers that ship to Norway don't have good prices. It's at least $60 a pop for a used 240GB Intel SSD. Which is about the same price as these brand new 500 GB SSDs, so the price is a bit oof.Local alternative sites I have no idea. They're impossible to browse becasue their algorithm sucks and searching for "intel SSD" will just give you 1000 results for computers with no plain ssds in sight

@srinicame Nah, Adata aren't particularly reliable. But they are cheap.Reliability doesn't matter too much for me since I'll be running them in RAID and if they're cheap enough I can just order an extra one ahead of time to keep as a backup.I was just hoping for higher performance SSDs. My hard drives are perfectly fine for most things. I just want some nice fast SSDs to put VM boot disks and databases on
