man, nginx's documentation is.... kind of a mess. it feels a lil hard to get a straight answer on the .conf file

i feel like im just dumb, but i just want a bit more info on the config file than what I could garner from the beginner's guide or some random tutorial online.

@bumbervevo For me, this was a good starting point - https://www.linode.com/docs/web-servers/nginx/nginx-installation-and-basic-setup/

@bumbervevo and the official docs. These two are enough. The biggest issue would be tons of stuff to absorb at once.

I just installed my first nginx server this morning and I followed the Linode article posted by @celia and got a basic web server working pretty fast. Now I'll have to dig deeper to harden the security and understand how this all work, but the basic was easy to set up.@bumbervevo

@bumbervevo The NGiNX website has documentation covering most scenarios. There's also a complete reference of all configuration keywords with good explanations of them. That's what I used to get my NGiNX installation up and running.
