Good news! But it's weird to see when there is tobacco and alcohol which are legal and get subsidies from the government, I just wanted to say as I'm growing older and getting to know these things, it's just totally depressing. One of the reasons, I don't read newspapers. And I can see, why some elderly people are talking negative things about what's happening in the world - whenever I talk to them.https://www.psymposia.com/magazine/william-leonard-pickard-lsd/

@poet it's hypocrisy, right? But it's hard to compare because tobacco and alcohol are extremely addictive and have massive consumption markets. LSD isn't for everyone, most people wouldn't want to use it daily or frequently, and it's not addictive.

@tomosaigon Yes. And I agree that LSD isn't for everyone.I haven't tried LSD, so I cannot say for sure other than what I've read and heard from people who had experienced. Which is that it has significant potential to treat few mental disorders. So, the question would be - How can Governments get this in a potentially safe environment where they can take measures on treating those illnesses using psychedelic drugs? On the other hand, I've tried Cannabis multiple times 1/2

@tomosaigon in my early 20s. That for sure is one hell of a thing where that CBD has potential to treat Seizures, Depression and Anxiety disorders etc,.With THC combined correctly, you can go into your own spiritual realm. 😂 It's legal at few places in India like Varanasi where some people like Aghori smoke to get into a transcendental state.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aghori2/2

@poet this is pretty cool, ancient tradition of accessing alternative states of consciousness with the help of plants. Dominant Western (English-speaking) culture complete forgets about this. You know it's not even legal to research the benefits of these medical herbs? But the article talks about embracing pollution and I'm not sure if that is a good idea (and any form of permanent damage).

@poet I think a trained psychiatrist would have to administer LSD and have a special setting for it. Not just let patients go home and pop a few tabs. It should be combined with other forms of therapy. But I don't think it's appropriate for everyone. Some people are on the brink of insanity and it's dangerous to push them.

@tomosaigon I would say even if you look at the history of western countries, there are shamans who does some rituals for healing purposes.Like in Mexico, Peru etc,. they do Ayahuasca ceremonies or rituals. It heals our soul they say. There are shamans who treats Schizophrenic patients in a different perspective. They say that they have the spirit of the other worlds and they can communicate with us for good.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curandero1/2
