I've never used Zoom or GoToMeeting and I never plan to, but I just did some tests with Jitsi and it seems easy and quick to use, so I now feel a bit better about recommending it to someone.

@brad You recommended it before even trying it?

@lucky Not strongly, but typically if people are using a piece of proprietary software I am at least inclined to say I've heard about a piece of free software that can do the same task, and will say similarly if I've heard it's good or whatever else. I wouldn't go so far as saying "yeah, man, LibreOffice kicks ass, you should really use it", because I don't actually use an office suite myself, just a text editor. Maybe pointless analogy, but it is what it is.On that note, I did recently use install and use LibreOffice to import some XML data and make it more human-readable, and it's also pretty okay software.

@lucky Honestly I can't remember if I've done something you could call recommending it. It's more likely I would've said "there's jitsi, but I haven't used it". I'm actually pretty careful about wording generally.

@eaon I'm going to both say "I don't know" and "probably" here. I tested between two computers using Firefox and my Android phone. One computer was on Manjaro and the other was on Windows 10 (not mine, fyi). It seemed to work fine.

@brad I use Jitsi for six month now for teaching and it is the best these days to me.
