@DirgeRamThrust enjoy, kinda nice, I host a server for my instance at home, alot of garbage at time, but you make it what you want, just need to get your friends on it

@DirgeRamThrust hey! If you want a facebook alternative, check out Diaspora or Minds. I don't use them but maybe check them out. This is more of a twitter alternative. Great to have you here!

@admin Cool, thanks for the tip 😊 I'll have to try that out. I'm guessing hosting instances is Mastodon's equivalent to facebook groups.

@DirgeRamThrust I’ve avoided having a #Facebook account from day one. Evil creature Facebook is. The hard part with #Mastodon is finding enough people to follow with the same interests as you. If #cat #photos is your thing then you are in luck. This instance is fantastic though for #privacy best #practices, privacy points of view and related #software. Great people who are very helpful.
