Day 62 of the #100DaysToOffload series:A little annoyed and preachy in this one. Might be because I'm a little under the weather and my BP is up. Dunno.https://mikestone.me/is-using-linux-really-productive-a-reply

@mike the funny thing about this too is that Windows is flat out buggy with regards to some hardware standards, but since they've got market dominance HW vendors start building to Windows' buggy implementation instead of the standard. So standards compliant OSes end up being overly buggy *for following the standard*.

@mike reading the original post I was just thinking "he just be using new hardware". Windows users can expect new hardware to work out of the box but we cannot. The newest pc I have is a 6yo Haswell laptop which had broken power management for about 2 years after I bought it but today it works great. His beef is with hardware vendors though, not that Linux community who work miracles. I suppose this is a new migrant culture shock

@mike I used to have problems with the distribution in my Laptop, but, I found ways around and now it is working flawlessly, all thanks to the documentations by the GNU/Linux community. For me , the community is the best part about using GNU/Linux.

@mike: This happens when people are forced to use Linux instead of them embracing it. The rest of us value the fact that we can manually recover a broken OS without having to wipe it clean and reinstall it.

I also use Lenovo and I ask super satisfied with compatibility.1. If I have bluetooth on on my phone and my laptop, they reconnect fast upon entering each other's range.2. Only time an app crashed was recently and it was a Windows app running on Wine.3. Performance is great even on GNOME.Specs:AMD SO APU 4x 2.0 GHz8 GB Shared RAM (6.7 GB usable)220 GB SSD + 20GB unallocated3 years old. It was low-end when I bought it. It still rocks.Blaming Linux is common among new comers.@mike
