@JenniTayler @Fullycaffeinated It's a big blanket that will be handy for naps and the car - and the sort that will become a blankie till she's 6 or 7 rather than a sweet little baby one.

Well, the care instructions on the yarn say machine washable and dryable so I'm going to go with that. And given that, in my experience, babies can and will expel all sorts of substances onto any thing nearby, it's going to need to be cleaned at some point. I wouldn't want to give a new mom something that requires hand washing. She's going to be busy enough! @JenniTayler @grace_hawthorn
