       Has anyone using #debian successfuly removed, now retired, python2 from your system? I'm running Debian testing and just took a look at the output for purging all the python2* packages and it doesn't SEEM to include anything that would be system-breaking...

       @nebunez I haven't removed anything, but there seems to be progress on that front:https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?tag=py2removal;users=debian-python@lists.debian.orghttps://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?tag=py2leaf;users=debian-python@lists.debian.org

       @nebunez If I try to `apt remove --purge --autoremove python`I will end up removing Calibre ( 😞 ), texlive ( 😢 ) and trash-cli ( 😭 ). I'm sure I could replace some of those, though.

       @ndegruchy what version of debian are you running? I have all three of those installed and none are showing up as to-be-removed when I run `apt remove --purge --autoremove python python2 python 2.7 python2-dev python2-minimal python2.7-dev python2.7-minimal`
