I'm a bit worried people might try to "force" J. K. Rowling a bit too much to "get on the TERF side" which may be off-putting for her and risk her position too much... Let me elaborate.Firstly, her reservedness on the matter could well be a sign that she's very much concerned about the mental well-being of all the young people who love(d) her and who might get seriously mentally unwell if she went "full-TERF" on social media. Let's not ruin this for her by making all the foolish teens feel validated in the idea that one of their idols has turned into an evil witch.And secondly, when someone goes full-blown GC like e.g. Glinner, people start stereotyping the person as having been brainwashed, lost her/his mind, and so on. Well, I guess try to do it one way or another, but if one goes very heavy GC all of a sudden, then TRAs have material to convince others of this idea that the person "lost their mind/lost their way."On the other hand, given how reserved and calm Rowling has been about all this, the TRAs are just making massive fools of themselves, losing their minds over what tweets she clicked "like" on, a few accounts she follows, and so on.It's quite difficult to hit the right balance between spreading enough awareness about these issues, and not giving TRAs a chance of characterizing you as having gone paranoid. I think Glinner has (with due respect) not exactly hit the right balance there, but Rowling still has a chance to play her cards so well that it not only raises awareness among those who were simply blissfully ignorant so far, but also changes the minds of people who are still on the fence or who supported TRAs without too deep a commitment.Hence, I think we could ruin this chance if we try to pull her too aggressively to the GC side. It leaves her in an awkward position because many parts of the GC community are way too unpalatable for the general "PC" public.

We really can't do anything to influence Rowling but I am with you in hoping she plays her hand very cool and simply lets the trans cult look even loonier than ever. @socjuswiz

I completely understand what you’re saying. I’m just happy a strong woman of influence has spoken up and continues to be staunch when the T movement come at her. I hope more people of influence stand up someday soon, but have no interest in “holding them to account,” coz that’s the crap the T movement does and they’re always turning on their own which causes people to see them for who they are every time they do it. we are just about reality and saving kids and women’s rights, I will leave the cult crap for the T movement.@socjuswiz
