@helby Pleroma is a lot lighter than Mastodon, at least on the server side, so that makes sense. If I remember correctly, Pleroma doesn't proxy content through the server like Mastodon does, so you'll be making a lot more third-party requests than you would on Mastodon. Not sure if that speeds things up or slows them down.

@vecna Did not dig to much around it, but from server side Mastodon looks like all that 'modern nonsense' today.Everytime in the past I tried to play with something and saw 'node, gem, bundle, rpm ...' I just abandom that idea for the sake of humanity 🚮

@helby Yeah, Mastodon has a lot of bloat. I ran an instance for something like a day, and my server couldn't handle it.
