there seriously needs to be a Linux distro that tries to mimic Plan 9.could be a good project for some #Guix hackers. it could tie in very well with environments.

@liebach @grainloom I thought about it, but it doesn't actually bring the features of Plan 9, only an extremist KISS distro

@xerz plan9port isn't all that great imho. i'm thinking of something that still uses Linux's (or a BSD's) coreutils and other native packages (because --long-live-long-opts) but integrates them with Plan 9 style namespace hackery.

@grainloom I mean, Linux's filesystem implementation is pretty monolithic, but maybe some kernel module could do something...?
