Part of my body is squishier than usual for some reason, and I'm not totally sure why. I weighed myself, and I've actually lost weight. But I have this layer of skin / fat around my midsection?I'm not really sure what it is. I changed my diet recently prior to noticing it. I know I've kind of been playing fast and loose with junk food recently, but it was still largely in constraints of diet and caloric limits. The only things I can think of is maybe a downtick in exercise. Maybe I lost some muscle and water and gained a little fat? Maybe my body is downsizing in slightly disproportionate ways? I dunno.

@sean maybe the fat there is less dense than it was but the skin takes longer to catch up with changes?

@artsyhonker yeah, I'd considered that. Less-than-scientific sources on bodybuilding and health forums suggested it's the "whoosh" effect, where some fat deposits in the body are starting to diminish, but are partially full of water.Who knows! We'll see!
