Nearly six months ago, I asked the BBC why a man who identifies as non-binary was on the BBC’s list of 100 Women.Having equivocated for months, I escalated to Of I’m, and received a response. This is the reply I received from the BBC:“In 2019, 100 Women focused on the theme of the Female Future, including discussions around the future of gender identities, rethinking traditional gender divides and exploring the idea of what “being a woman” may mean. Owl Fisher was included on the list as part of this concept. The topic was discussed with Owl, who said they wanted to be included on the list.”I’m even more irritated now, and will be escalating to the Executive Complaints Team. All and any advice gratefully received. 😡😡😡

@Camille Always same pattern they asked a TIM never ask actual women how they feel about losing a place to a man.

Yes, that is a point my response will certainly address! But what the hell is this supposed to mean? “Owl Fisher was included on the list as part of this concept”Fisher is not female. Fisher does not identify as a woman. On what basis did the BBC “include them as part of this concept”????What part of the concept of “Female Future” encompasses non-binary males?? It’s Orwellian.@SouerTeresa

@Camille having tried once to get through to the BBC on something - get through in the 'their thick skull' sense - and failed. my advice is give up. they are never wrong. they are never sorry. rarely it's someone else's fault who doesn't work here, or an intern, but overall seeing your point is not a thing that will happen, so give up.your sore head though!

       1) complaints ruin their key performance indicators, so carry on2) ensure you get names and dates... “who agreed to this, and when?”. And make it clear this is for future reference. Nothing makes people think about things more than having to defend a stupid whim at some future point@Camille

@Camille Hang on - but if he says he wants to be included in the women's list even though he is a man, then it can NOT be logical for the BBC to accept that he is identifying as - non-binary!The price a non-binary person has to pay for "their" belief is that they can not be on a woman's or man's list and certainly they can choose voluntarily to be on one of those list and STILL be classed as non-binary.How can a adult human being at the BBC or anywhere in the world accept these basic illogicality in this situations is just mind blowing. My fantasy is that a BBC Journalist genuinely resigns publicly over this sort of forced labour and untrue journalism they have to write (- unlike the sham Guardian employee resignation).

Personally, I don't trust ANYTHING that comes out of the corrupt, paedophile supporting Big Brother Broadcasting Corporation..I've found several discrepancies with their reporting. Charging people a stealth tax to watch their filth and lies is the limit for me..I don't share anything that comes from them, and I definitely don't PAY them to share their lies either and neither should you.XX..@Camille
