Obama had TWO COMPETING programs for training rebels.One was run by the Pentagon, and one was run by the CIA.My guess is the hapless professional is an American CIA paramilitary, sent into battle without speaking the language of the locals.From what I can tell, the US government has been incompetent since the end of World War II.Nobody has done a study on how that conflict traumatized the human race.

I agree that art doesn't have to MEAN anything.That itself is a meaning.The imagery doesn't disturb me. Without dark, there can be no light.The Trump years have separated the wheat from the chaff. Those who don't get Trump will be left behind.I can't get over how DUMB Obama was when it came to the Syrian civil war. He was torn between his devotion to the Iranian mullahs and the influence of Samantha Power.

Whether it's photography, painting, music, sculpture, writing, dancing, or acting some part of you enters it.

@ThomasWic I thoroughly enjoyed that video. What a sad ending to his life. I like what he said, Paintings are to be admired or contemplated, admired without asking what it means. If I had something to say I would write it down or say it. Sometimes art is just art, something the artist sees in his mind and nothing more. He certainly had a wide range of talent.

My grandfathers served in the Kennedy administration. My Dad fought in combat in Vietnam. I did not understand the richness of my own history until you explained it in present day terms. @Ballerina I can relate well to your comment. Paint all of my oils from treasured photos from my and my family's wanderings. This Everglades Blue Heron was painted from a shot taken from my kayak way in the outback of the Florida park, when I was on a weeklong camping trip with my son's Daddy, a year before we were married. Loved the light play and glowing - it was a God moment. Was offered $800 for it at an art show. No go - family heritage piece now. Son agrees. @prchrskd @ThomasWic
