#SessionMessenger has peaked my interest! Signal but without phone number is very appealing! For ease of copy paste, my identity is below:

@fuyuhikodate @lovecrafthobbit there is a need for a truly privacy focused messaging system. It's unfortunate but realistic to expect that the choice of such a system is largely influenced by political beliefs rather than technological merit.I've tried DDGing the members of the Loki board of directors, I've tried looking in the news about this foundation. Could you help me out with a link confirming the alt right ties?

@yarmoNice site. Looks promising, but it's a turn-off that I have to temporarily allow 3-4 different scripts (apparently all) and I still can't open the hamburger menu or FAQ dropdowns.

agree with All your arguments. My personal Problem about that is more the following: endchan/8chan is Well known for their altright stuff and it seems that NOBODY of the developer seems to care about it. And thats a huge issue for me. Before i Support something that says "Yeah We dont care that Nazis are using Our stuff" i prefer to be a glass Person. Both is not nice But racism is a bigger (Personal) issue which is Hard er to @lovecrafthobbit @yarmo - 2/3

fight than a gov, that needs to be more Controller by the people.I still prefer xmpp and jabber even if it is still not "100% anonymous" its longer there with a bigger Community who wors a lot on privacy :) @lovecrafthobbit @yarmo - 3/3

@fuyuhikodate @lovecrafthobbit thanks for elaborating. Privacy protection is indeed not (IMHO) the same as not caring about what alt right does on your platform. That's an issue and something I will keep in mind.

@yarmo I use NoScript for all browsing by default, which blocks almost any scripts from loading. I generally temporarily allow those I feel are OK and which I need for particular sessions. But that didn't work when visiting this site. It's probably some other privacy-enhancing setting I have set in Firefox. Still, the moral of the story is it's sad that so many sites now rely on all sorts of these (potentially malicious) scripts running.
