This place is becoming more like the fediverse daily. I'm absolutely out of here if this kind of content/user is allowed on Spinster. I have reported it but for some reason I am hesitating to belive this kind of thing will be shut down here. Antisemitism, anti feminism and glorifying a terrorist who shot up a synagogue cannot be allowed? Can it? I know we are all for free speech and I have railed against right wing/alt right stuff lately but I have never said it should not be allowed or shut down. I think it should be tolerated for sure.But does anyone believe this kind of thing is acceptable? Surely we can have a diverse range of viewpoints without accepting this kind of shit as part of it? I am imploring the @spinster Mods @mk @alex to separate us from the GAB/fediverse model of allowing absolutely everything. And take a stand.🙏

On the forum I mod I have to ban Nazis (and pretend Nazis) all the time. They know they upset people, and probably think they're hilarious. I haven't read Spinster rules in awhile, but I think this acct breaks the tos, and a mod will probably deal with them soon. In the future I think it'd be better to tag in Alison, Vaishnavi, or Nina instead of me cuz I don't want to contribute to the idea that I make this type of decision. We are a small team, and sometimes it is difficult to catch things quickly. Please understand that we attend every report individually, so there are times when it will take us longer to reach a specific report. Here is an explaination of a Silence:Silencing is essentially a shadow ban. People can still follow this user to choose to see their content and receive notifications from them, however users who do not follow the silenced user will not see their content or receive notifications from them.In order to disable an account I must get agreement from the other mods.
