wtfim looking at stainless water bottles and very few have stainless caps. if im interested in a steel bottle I probably want a steel cap (o rings excepted if youre being kind). im moving away from plastic to ensure I can clean this easily, so flavors dont leech and more. that plastic cap undoes the whole fucking point. *and* it'll go bad loooong before any other part of the bottle. we have precision manufacturing for screw threads at all scales, this shouldnt be a hard selwaste not, want not. buy once and pass it on to the next generation

@kemonine I have such a thing. I found it on the street some years ago. It says 'coleman' on it, but they prostitute their name to many 3rd parties these days and the bottle seems quite old in appearance. It's a actually a 'mickey' bottle - hip flask, but serves the purpose. I did a little look around just now and can't find it for you exactly - same problem: plastic caps :-(

@kemonine Kleen Kanteen meets you halfway; the lids are structurally plastic, but the component that sits inside the bottle is stainless (plus a rubber seal ring). This solves the flavor issue and makes the plastic much longer lasting@vfrmedia
