       Hi, i used to be on Twitter, I’m not any more after I got banned. I was tempted to rejoin but instead was interested to see how it was to just talk about this stuff in real life for a while, since I tended to do my talking about it on Twitter and hold my tongue offline. It’s crazy quite how carefully policed the discourse is, and as a man, what I noticed most of all was the way that any conversations with the people who want to nudge you away are VERY friendly when you just have questions, but as soon as there’s any sense at all that you might not be satisfied with an answer, the switch is immediate - you’re in or you’re out. A good test if you’re a bloke is to have the conversation from first principles, and if the person is a TRA or adjacent, have a bit of conversation, and then, at a period of disagreement, show that you’re aware of the term “TERF”; knowledge of the term seems to show that you know enough that you’re an enemy, and can’t possibly be unbiased.Sorry, longish post - the novelty of more than 280 characters is still there for me.
