@WomanNotCis Beware of the Fediverse tab. There are lots of awful people on there: racists, white supremacists, anti-semites, etc etc. I have blocked entire domains, to avoid the worst of them. I recommend that you block and mute users and hide domains, unless you particularly enjoy the cut and thrust of extreme debate. Spinster is great and most of the people on there are worth a look. glindr seems to be the same, as far as I have seen.

I dunno, I rarely go on Spinster for the same reason, not teccy or young, so struggle with the different platforms. I assume people block a lot, maybe lick account from the start?@WomanNotCis

@WomanNotCis Go to a really obnoxious user's profile and then hide the entire domain they are from (if they are on a different one from yours), otherwise just block them. I've generally been keeping off the Fediverse tab, but I've been on tonight to see the new people who have come from glindr. You will find that some repulsive people will follow you from other instances, but it's easy enough to get rid of them. I don't have much of a problem with other users now that I've done all that.

@WomanNotCis Basically all sites using this technology are linked together - there’s loads of them including the GC one “Spinster” but lots of irrelevant ones too. So Fediverse is a bit like seeing everyone’s tweets on twitter simultaneously rather than those you follow.
