You know how Trump was being called a racist/sexist before the election in 2016 and the polls were off because people didn't want to say they supported him publicly? Could that be happening here with Corbyn being called anti-semitic? #UKelection2019

@Johnny_of_the_swampIsn't it only exit polls so far? If that's what counted, Bill & Jeffrey would still be spit roasting high schoolers on Air Force One.

@wjmaggos First results are starting to trickle in. I'll happily take the bet if you want. Labour is going to get absolutely thrashed and Brexit is going to happen I believe.

@wjmaggos As far as the original question goes, I think preference falsification is real but in the global political alignment I think the dispositions mean that the average Labour voter is more likely to take such accusations as serious character flaws than a Republican is to be a NeverTrumper. It is not at all symmetric. You have to look at where the attacks are coming from.

@Johnny_of_the_swampI think you're right, just pointing out the parallel. AFAIK Corbyn wouldn't say where he stood on Brexit.

@wjmaggos yea but because the PM is tied to the parliament his personal stance is less relevant than the rest of his party's toward Brexit

@Johnny_of_the_swampYeah. Sorry, my Mastodon instance died again last night. Had to restore from 8 days ago.
