Unsurprisingly, that one pornographic TV show is similar to porn https://www.indiewire.com/2019/11/emilia-clarke-pressured-game-of-thrones-nudity-1202190609/

@alexThe books had their own issues with gratuitous rape and violence but the pornified sex was something the TV series made up all on its own. It also propagated the myth of the happy hooker.

@Lemondrizzle @alex it's how men see the female human isn't it?as something there in their man's world to take all their male frustrations out onMen pig out on seeing women and girls suffer, men gorge themselves on it, like packs of wolves, rabid, all frothing from their mouths.. and all high fiving each other in their male camaraderie for every punch and kick and blow they land on their targetIt's how men bond with each other, all united by one common mutual male goal hunting down their favourite unarmed prey and tearing into it

@WotNoKetchup @Lemondrizzle @alex Watched the very first episode of game of thrones and watched no more. As much as I love fantasy and action, I felt there was no call for the obvious gratuitous sex. Watched the first episode of Carnival Row and thought exactly the same. To me, it felt like they were trying to say 'oh this isn't a children's story... We're all grown up here' despite using children's story themes. It looked pathetic and all the swearing had the same effect. When they use animals in film they have a disclaimer about no animals were harmed... Women on the other hand, are easy meat.

@Maxz @Lemondrizzle @alex We know collectively what men want, we know what men collectively want to see? the complete and utter annihilation of the female human and her image and her spirit so men can boost the significance of their male own and high 5 each other in the name of their precious little manhood and call her utter annihilation their male win!Men's tendencies are on the sadistic side, the porn sick sadistic side and they have no qualms expressing those tendencies when they are all together and penis back slapping each other in their male solidarity They are all brothers in arms then, all are one then?

Yes! I did that with Carnival Row! I wasn’t interested in the characters after that sex scene. Casual sexual violence just isn’t my thing! @Maxz @WotNoKetchup @Lemondrizzle @alex

@alex TV show executives are sexist, greedy assholes. Especially men.
