@kev Re your excellent blog article https://kevq.uk/how-to-install-nextcloud-on-shared-hosting I'm considering doing this, but am wondering about how to do upgrades (e.g., nextcloud just had one from 16.0.4 to 16.0.5, and v17 coming next)The setup-nextcloud.php script is apparently only for a new install. If it detects an existing install, it aborts with the message: "You cannot use this script to update existing installations."But once installed, do you know if the web updater feature works on a shared hosting setup?

@jrdmb it does. When an update is released, you will get a notification in the webUI. You then just follow the prompts, it’s very simple to upgrade.
