       When I first got started in this whole Linux thing, I learned ipchains. Then I learned iptables. Looks like it's time to learn nftables.

       @trini AFAIU from 15 seconds DDG:  ebtables is specific to bridging.  nftables remains the firewall tool of choice.No?@nivex

       @dredmorbius @nivex I guess I was _slightly_ off.  https://cilium.io/blog/2018/04/17/why-is-the-kernel-community-replacing-iptables/ seems like a reasonable quick-search-answer on what I was thinking.
