@mwlucas I suspect he was pushed, TBH. That resignation does not sound willing at all.And this isn't over, he's still president of the FSF, which is arguably a bigger deal for the wider community.You're right about the rest of it though.

@bjarni @mwlucas he explicitly mentioned in his resignation notice that he resigned because of political pressure and did not apologize for anything, which I appreciate.

@mwlucas the lesson to take is that authoritarian leftists will try to socially destroy people who don't entirely agree with them, and they need to be resisted politically
