I am getting a hole in the knee on my otherwise perfect jeans, do those iron on patches actually work?

@klendool You want to apply it to the back side after trimming the patch to fit but leave enough space all around it to get a good hold on the good fabric. It will look best if the hole is a narrow slash type hole or one where the cut fabric is intact. Make sure the color matches well too. You put the color side w/the shiny glue on it down on the back side & use an iron on steam setting to heat & steam it so the glue sets to the fabric. Cool and then steam iron the front so the loose fibers set.
